Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
13:20 Thurles – Brawler (The Irish Sun)
If BRAWLER can reproduce the useful chase form he showed for Ciaran Murphy he can win a race of this standard. He has run twice over hurdles since joining the Foley team and gets a hopeful vote over Politicise, who is dropped in class, and Low Mileage, whose Gowran fourth was a big step in the right direction. Gali Flight has fair recent handicap hurdle form, and Mylerstown Upper should be better for a recent run.
15:00 Plumpton – Everythingsontick (The Telegraph)
Le Patron is shortlisted after two solid C&D efforts this winter, down 1lb and on to softer ground again, but there could yet be more to come from EVERYTHING’SONTICK now he’s handicapping back from wind surgery. Conkwell Legend is very low mileage for his age and another to consider.
16:00 Taunton – Western General (The Guardian)
Recent C&D maiden winner Killaloan probably still has potential but he’s not the only interesting handicap debutant in the line-up. Book Of Secrets (second choice) can feature if last month’s reappearance run did him good but the suggestion is WESTERN GENERAL, who displayed clear promise in both his starts at Exeter.
16:25 Stratford – Ballee (Daily Record)
There’s plenty of potential on show but Northern Irish challenger BALLEE just about sets the standard on his Punchestown form and he’s travelled a long way for this opportunity. The filly Flying Fortune is feared most on the strength of her good run at Market Rasen. Nicky Henderson introduces his Irish point winner Cornamona and she could prove popular.
