Point and bumper winner Nick Rockett is a probable danger. He’s Ultimate and Suttons Hill are interesting but perhaps in the slightly longer term.

Lumbered with a 9lb penalty for his Limerick Grade 2 novice win, No Looking Back faces a tough task against the dual Grade 1-placed IRISH POINT, who can get back on the scoresheet dropped in grade. Lily Du Berlais could improve enough from her C&D hurdling debut to shake them up.

Tony Martin’s runner FALVIO, who did not appear to stay 2m4f at Fairyhouse, gets the vote on the strength of a previous C&D second. Over this trip, he has good prospects of reversing Fairyhouse form with runner-up Wee Charlie and sixth-placed Young Fitzy. Rovetta could go well at a decent each-way price.
15:42 – Carnfunnock
It might be worth taking a chance that CARNFUNNOCK has more to give raised to this trip after a solid handicap debut here over 2m last time. Tempo Chapter Two, and The Gradual Slope could be the ones to give him most to do.

16:17 – Limerick Lace
Though Flanking Maneuver ran a remarkable race thrown into a Grade 2 novice on comeback and will surely be better for that, preference is for last time out C&D winner LIMERICK LACE (nap), who is improving rapidly. The classy Saldier isn’t taken lightly nor is Journey With Me.
16:52 – West Cork Wildway
Several of these have run in valuable handicaps in recent months and WEST COAST WILDWAY appears to have a solid chance on his Leopardstown Chase fifth. He can uphold form with sixth-placed Now Where Or When, hit with an 8lb rise for an excellent run in the Bobbyjo Chase at Fairyhouse. Thyestes fifth Espanito Bello could feature and The Tack Room should not be discounted despite the drawback of being 4lb out of the handicap.
17:27 – Bohemian Summer
Having shown improved form to win on heavy ground at Punchestown last time, BOHEMIAN SUMMER is likely to encounter similar conditions today and can score. Fancy Girl was no match for Cheltenham bound Fun Fun Fun last time but has to be respected, as does Gaillimh A Run.
