Chelmsford betting tips:
If rediscovering his best form Sun Festival would be a big threat to all off this sort of mark but preference is for PERSIAN WOLF who has winning form over C&D and would probably have beaten Stormingin back here last month with a smoother trip. Miss Harmony and Island Of Skye are others for the shortlist.
Both Super Mo and Flash Bardot set a fair standard on what they have shown so far but it’s not a daunting one and there are some interesting newcomers up against them. It may be worth taking a chance with POET’S PRIZE whose attractive pedigree suggests she should take to the AW, while the stable is more than capable of getting one ready first time. It would be no surprise to see a better effort from Seahrena over this longer trip.
With confirmed front-runners such as Lord Of The Lodge, Golden Spice and River Pride in the field, this should set up perfectly for TIGER CRUSADE who can defy a 2lb rise to make it 3-4 this year. Amber Island should be suited by the return to a double-digit field and could go well, as may C&D winner Sir Oliver who has dropped to a favourable mark.
With his reappearance effort under his belt Toussarok should go well having dropped 3lb below his last winning mark, while Secret Strength has been running well enough lately to give him a chance. However, the vote goes to BARGING THRU (nap) who is back off his last winning mark and whose latest fourth at Wolverhampton has since been franked by the first two.

An open race in which the vote goes to MAY REMAIN, who was only just caught in a classified event at Kempton last time and is a big player if he can repeat that form back in a handicap. Dark Design has gone close in his last two runs and he’s feared most, although Jumira Bridge wasn’t far behind the selection ten days ago and could make a serious impact if this sets up for his closing style. Others to consider are January’s C&D winner Privilege and the in-form 4yo Viewfromthestars.
Several have possibilities but the vote goes to MUNIFICENT, who is only 2lb higher than for his strong-finishing win at Wolverhampton in December and was a creditable third from a tough draw there last time. Second choice is nine-time Polytrack winner Sir Rodneyredblood, who looks interesting on his drop back to 5f. The admirable veteran You’re Cool is respected after his runner-up efforts in his last two starts, while another who could be dangerous is Proclivity.
Taskheer took advantage of a reduced mark at Lingfield on Wednesday and he’s respected under a penalty. Mcqueen has claims if he can bounce back after a disappointing run at Wolverhampton, while New Shepard could be dangerous if he can take another step back in the right direction. However, the vote goes to GIORGIO VASARI, who has finished placed five times since his last win in December including an eyecatching third in a tactical race on Polytrack last time.
