13:30 Wincanton – Stormy Flight

Came good over fences at fourth attempt, with very comfortable success at Taunton (2m7f, good) last month; went up 9lb for that but was very competitive off this mark over hurdles last season and must be considered in current form.

14:40 Wincanton – Bluffmeifyoucan

Well beaten in first three handicaps but bounced back to form with clear second at Fontwell (2m5f, good) 11 days ago; 2lb ahead of the handicapper and could have untapped potential over 3m; a player.

18:15 Newcastle – Deferred

Half-brother to connections’ very useful three-time AW scorer (including Listed) Invitational; made steady progress in three outings at the end of last summer, keeping on for second in a 1m2f novice at Lingfield (AW) on final start; gelded ahead of this reappearance and handicap debut; highly likely more to come and a very interesting contender.

19:15 Newcastle – One Hart

Snapped a two-year losing run when leading near the finish over C&D a fortnight ago, with the reopposing One More Dream and Tahmeen behind in third and fifth; his lack of wins in recent times doesn’t mark him down as obvious one to follow up but he was rated a good bit higher earlier in his career and he’s more than capable of another prominent showing up 3lb.
