STORMY FLIGHT finished runner-up to a progressive, well-handicapped sort at Chepstow two starts back and confirmed his return to form when going one place better at Taunton last month. He attracted good support and never gave his backers anything to worry about, in control when cruising clear in the straight. He is unexposed at staying trips and a subsequent 9 lb rise may not be enough to stop him. Windance is feared most following his wide-margin success at Fontwell last time.
14:05 – Sniper Point
This looks a potential match on paper between SNIPER POINT and Walk of No Shame, and it is Alexandra Dunn’s French recruit who gets the verdict to come out on top and supplement her Cagnes-Sur-Mer victory on New Year’s Day after changing hands for €23,119 since. The aforementioned Walk of No Shame was fairly useful in bumpers, while By Pass and Beautiful Surprise can fight out third spot.
14:40 – Oscars Moonshine
None of these appeal as being particularly solid, but OSCARS MOONSHINE has slipped below the mark from which he completed a hat-trick in 2020 and a chance is taken that he’ll be able to build upon the slight promise of his two starts in the autumn. Bluffmeifyoucan is yet to string good runs together but would take high rank if backing up his runner-up effort at Fontwell last time, whilst Island Run can also enter the mix if brushing up his jumping.
15:15 – Impact Du Bonheur
The ones with form don’t set the bar high in this maiden hurdle but IMPACT DU BONHEUR displayed plenty of ability in French bumpers last year, winning his final start, and having subsequently switched to Paul Nicholls, a successful hurdles debut would come as no surprise. Gyenyame stayed well on the Flat so this trip will suit and he will be a big player if improving for it.

15:50 – Twilight Glory
Another race which isn’t the strongest but TWILIGHT GLORY is improving with each run at present, bumping into one ahead of their mark at Ffos Las two starts back and showing a good attitude when narrowly prevailing at Lingfield last month. That was his second start since undergoing a breathing operation, which appears to have made a difference, and a subsequent 3 lb rise may well underestimate him. Lightonthewing, who made all to win by a wide margin at Fontwell 11 days ago, looks the obvious danger turned out under a 7 lb penalty.
16:25 – Noble Savage
NOBLE SAVAGE bounced back to his best form when finishing first past the post at this course last week, but lost the race in the stewards’ room, which was a fair decision considering the end margin between the first two. However, he is able to race off an unchanged mark so is taken to gain quick compensation. Handicap debutant Tedwin Hills is feared most on the back of his excellent second here last time out, while Begin The Luck appeals as the pick of the rest and a solid place prospect.
17:00 – Go West
GO WEST was runner-up on his sole start in points and has been strong in the market for both of his starts under Rules when filling the same position. He failed to progress as expected last time but the level of his form still stands out in this field and he is fancied to come out on top this time. Pic Roc’s debut form at Uttoxeter has worked out well so he is feared most, while Court In The Act and Dreadpoetssociety are a couple of newcomers to note.
