Horse Racing tips: A 10/1 play leads the way at Leopardstown today

13:40 – Horantzau Dairy

Though a beaten favourite on comeback at Navan last time, HORANTZAU D’AIRY can strip fitter today and go one better. Walhaan was 5l behind him that day and can give him a race, while I Am Fortunata also has the ability to give the selection a race but has questions to answer after running out last time.

14:15 – Captains Nephew

An interesting novice. CAPTAINS NEPHEW (nap) travelled really well before going clear of his field over this trip at Clonmel and is preferred to the mares Della Casa Lunga and Purse Price, both of whom have shown their best form over further.

14:50 – Firstman

Having improved on the Flat to a mark of 88 recently, FIRSTMAN looks well handicapped returning to hurdles and can score. The King Of PRS is a danger but this faster ground is a question for him, though it should help Ballinlough Gale. Clever Currency, Razdan and Single Edition are capable of prominent showings.

15:25 – Junior Rattler

Dermot McLoughlin fields a strong hand in recent winner Wa Wa and last year’s Irish National winner Lord Lariat, both racing off marks considerably lower than their chase ratings. JUNIOR RATTLER caught the eye staying on well from off the pace at Navan over 2m4f on Saturday and should appreciate this longer trip so could just be a bit of value if turning out again. Atacanter is a potential improver upped in trip on handicap debut, while Pure Sirloin and Indie Belle are others to consider, the latter due to run here on Sunday.

16:00 – Solness

Following a fine chase debut second on similar ground at Thurles last month SOLNESS should take plenty of beating here. Derrylinda could be the one for the forecast.

16:35 – Galon De Vauzelle

Super Citizen attempts to win this for the third year running but his recent form hasn’t been encouraging and a more appealing option is GALON DE VAUZELLE, just denied at Navan recently. Others with solid claims include Arverne and Presenting Point.

17:10 – Arctic Fly

Closely related to the same yard’s brilliant Arctic Fire, ARCTIC FLY can make a winning debut. Harvest Home and A La Carte are most interesting of the other newcomers, while Holly Tree can improve enough from her debut to be in the shake-up.
