15:06 Lingfield – Shouldvebeenaring (The Brigadier)

SHOULDVEBEENARING won a 6f Listed race on turf at two and saw off the reopposing Alpha Capture to make a successful return to action in a 6f Southwell conditions race 32 days ago. Below best on his previous attempt at 7f but his dam won over this trip and he shapes as if he’ll stay. Eescapes a penalty for his Listed win. Leading form claims.

15:15 Doncaster – Cooper’s Cross (Andrew Bladen)

Steady progress this term has brought two wins from four starts for COOPER’S CROSS, the latest in major C&D handicap (good; acts on soft) five weeks ago when he was upped in trip and travelled and jumped very well in the first-time cheekpieces, leading three out. 5lb higher today but makes plenty of appeal on that performance.

17:30 Wolverhampton – Victoria Falls (postdata)

VICTORIA FALLS hasn’t been beaten far in a couple of Class 5 6 handicaps here this year, latterly when fifth of 13 last month (caught wide over this trip). Cheekpieces debuted there are now replaced by a visor. Still has time to do better.

19:30 Wolverhampton – Heath Rise (Expert Eye)

HEATH RISE was in good form on AW towards the end of his 2021 campaign, winning twice. No impact in two starts since returning from lengthy absence but this step back up to 1m6f may suit.
