Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
The cheekpieces clearly made a big difference to SAN PEDRO last week at Lingfield and he can defy the penalty. Abingworth is another runner with some upside but he does have stamina to prove over this far and perhaps the danger will be C&D winner El Hageb Rose.
Dead-heated with Foster’s island over C&D last season and looked back in good form when second at Catterick (2m3f, good) a fortnight ago; GLENTRUAN can cope with a recent 3lb rise; one to consider.
Five-time hurdle winner (once over C&D); not quite as good as she once was but JESSIEMAC returned to form with good second over C&D (soft) this month and will also be suited by today’s faster ground; major player.
ALODIA has not threatened at 11-1 or bigger in her six starts and was always in rear in a Chelmsford handicap (1m2f) 17 days ago; has plenty to prove on her step up to this trip but the distance should suit.
