TRIXSTER has been a super consistent chaser of ante without actually getting his head in-front but looks to have everything in his favour today and looks very competitive at the weights. Twice run here at Taunton winning once and placing on the other occasion so clearly likes it round here. Three times a winner on good ground which he gets today and it’s difficult to see him not in the frame here in this class 4 chase, a grade in which he has won 5 times.

TipMan Selection – BoombawnÂ
1.5 points each way
BOOMBAWN for Dan Skelton drops in grade here having raced in a Class 1 at Newbury when last seen in November. Loves the good going, winning 50% of his starts on good going and has won over today’s trip too. Has the fastest speed ratings in the race and although the Skelton yard have been a little quieter of late it would be no surprise to see them start picking up form with Cheltenham just around the corner. Open looking race this with plenty open to improvement but I think Boombawn will love the ground and could be difficult to stop.
Southwell 17:30
TipMan Selection – Comedian Leader
1.5 points each way
COMEDIAN LEADER drops in Class here having run with credit last time out when 4th at Wolverhampton. Returns to a very fruitful venue where he has raced three times winning all three starts which is very significant for Southwell as the sand track doesn’t suit all. Speed figures look fine and he looks well weighted to go well again. Not beaten far the last two ties so clearly holding his form and a return to Southwell and a drop in grade may just be what’s needed to get another win.
