Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.
Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

15:15 – Carlisle – Destiny Is All (Scottish Sun)
DESTINY IS ALL has a very consistent chase record; good recent strike-rate, having won three of his last five starts; ties in with Lord Roco on Ayr running two months ago (when last seen); solid chance in first-time headgear.
15:35 – Lingfield – Gabriels Getaway (Sunday Telegraph)
This can go to GABRIELS GETAWAY who hit a clear personal best with an easy win on his handicap/chase debut at Taunton and has plenty of scope for further progress in this sphere. Second choice is Hector Jaguen, who kicked off his chase career with a creditable third at Plumpton and is 2lb lower here. David Pipe’s in-form veteran Dindin has each-way claims, while others who could be in the mix are Tamaris and Madiba Passion.
15:50 – Carlisle – Marsh Wren (The Punt)
2-5 in novice hurdles last season, the wins gained over 2m/2m4f on soft/good to soft, and MARSH WREN has won a four-runner mares’ event on her handicap and seasonal debut at Exeter (2m2f, heavy) on New Year’s Day; this is much tougher but she’s unexposed and could have more left in the tank.
19:30 – Newcastle – Copper Mountain (sportinglife.com)
Dual AW winner last winter who went quiet after scoring at Wetherby (1m, good to firm) last April, but having dropped back to her last winning mark she showed much more when beaten less than a length into fifth of 11 (just behind a subsequent winner) at Southwell (7f, Tapeta) ten days ago; COPPER MOUNTAIN has to be respected.
