Well Above Par is very well handicapped based on his previous form and a return to that would see him go very close today at a nice price. He’s won twice at the track and he has won three times over today’s trip, so he has everything in his favour. The yard have been banging in the winners in the last two weeks and this horse ran well in this race last year off a 15lb higher mark. It’s place claims at the very least today.

Lingfield 14:30

Tipman Selection – Lincoln Lyn
Wager – 1.5 points each way

Lincoln Lyn ran a very creditable third last time out at Wetherby at a track that shouldn’t really suit his style. This sharper track should be much more his bag. He was a winner two starts back at Fakenham and he has generally been a very consistent type. He looks on a good mark and just needs to tidy up his jumping and he will be bang in for this open looking race.

Carlisle 15:15

Tipman Selection – Morning Spirit
Wager – 1.5 points each way

Morning Spirit a winner at today’s course back in November by 6l and it’s in the same grade as today so he looks to have a good chance of going close again. He was a good third last time out and the yard are in good form at the moment. He’s 4lbs higher than his last win and this fairly raced eight-year-old has plenty more left in him. It’s a wide open race with plenty of chances but he represents one of the better chances with the ratings.
