Newcastle Betting Tips:
16:55 – Bobby Shaftoe
17:30 – Masham Moor
18:00 – Lady Beechfield
18:30 – Sir Robin
19:00 – Hurt You Never
19:30 – Colors Of Freedom (NAP)
20:00 – Abnaa
16:55 – Bobby Shaftoe
A low-key opener. Selecto holds every chance at the weights, while the veteran hurdler Strong Team is unlikely to have many better opportunities on the Flat. However, although his stamina isn’t totally assured over 1m4f, the safest option is an in-form BOBBY SHAFTOE.
17:30 – Masham Moor
The likeliest candidates include Mac Ailey and Divine Connection who both filled the runner-up spot at Southwell latterly, and Inexplicable (second choice) who ran really well in first-time blinkers at Wolverhampton on Saturday. However, a slight preference is for the handily drawn MASHAM MOOR. Chris Fairhurst’s 6yo was in there pitching until deep inside the final furlong over C&D last month on his second run back from a lengthy absence.
18:00 – Lady Beechfield
The market may offer helpful clues with regards to the most interesting of the newcomers, namely Patriot’s Choice and the handily-drawn Seahrena, but the prior experience gained by Jahidin, Shaw Park and LADY BEECHFIELD serves to tip the scales in their favour. The selection was spotted doing pleasing late work on her Chelmsford debut, so should appreciate stepping up in distance now.
18:30 – Sir Robin
Diligent Harry returned with a good effort at Lingfield but in receipt of 14lb SIR ROBIN has a good deal to recommend him as he was by no means pushed to win at Southwell recently. Fivethousandtoone, so impressive in his sole C&D start, could be the main danger ahead of King Of Bavaria and Brazen Bolt.

19:00 – Hurt You Never
Blackcurrent will be dangerous if seeing out the extra furlong on this belated return to 6f but preference is for HURT YOU NEVER who was involved in quite competitive C&D races for the level in the autumn and should come on for her Chelmsford return from a break. Elisheva may be the main danger, while Jumirah Bridge and Mutabaahy are also considered.
19:30 – Colors Of Freedom
This could be competitive if all were guaranteed to be at their best but as things stand COLORS OF FREEDOM (NAP) is taken to complete the five-timer after again reeling in her rivals in good style at Lingfield last month. Shine Honey Shine is next on the list with the drop to 5f an interesting move, although Sugar Hill Babe, back in a handicap, Statu Of Liberty, down to 5f in only her second run for this yard, and handicap newcomer Pride Of Yorkshire are all worth a look.
20:00 – Abnaa
Anif thoroughly deserves another win and he looks sure to put up a good fight but ABNAA was in the form of his life at Southwell last month, scooting away for the first of his wins before overcoming some difficulties next time, and this course winner looks good for another big effort back over 7f. Abruzzo Mia still has some potential at this trip and is preferred of the remainder.
