13:45 – Creative Control
This match presents CREATIVE CONTROL with an excellent opportunity to register a second success over fences. Creative Control got off the mark in this sphere with a comfortable six-length success at Musselburgh in December and he has run creditably to finish runner-up on both subsequent starts at that venue. His sole rival here, Fiston du Mou, hasn’t been in such good form in two starts since winning at Sedgefield in November.
14:15 – Perculator
This should boil down to a match between PERCULATOR and Irish point winner Beauty To Behold, with Perculator edging the vote. Bumper winner Perculator shaped as if in need of the experience when a distant fifth on her hurdling debut at Hexham in November but she took a big step forward to finish runner-up at Wetherby the following month, showing a likeable attitude. She wasn’t quite at that level when fourth in a two-mile-three-furlong handicap hurdle here last time, but it was still a respectable effort and, with this longer trip expected to be in her favour, she can put her experience to good use.
14:45 – The Navigator
THE NAVIGATOR hasn’t been at his best of late but the handicapper has relented and he is now 1 lb below the mark he defied at Kelso in September. He’s clearly dropped to a competitive mark and the Diane Sayer yard has been showing some signs of a return to form, so it would be little surprise were The Navigator to bounce back in a race where most have something to prove.
15:15 – Didtheyleaveuoutto
DIDTHEYLEAVEUOUTTO has been disappointing in three starts since finishing fourth in a strong renewal of the Silver Trophy at Chepstow in October, including when looking rusty on his first outing for Ben Haslam on the Flat at Southwell last month, but this is a weaker race than most he contests and he could be worth chancing. This is perhaps a sharper test than ideal back at two miles, but Didtheyleaveuoutto has the class to take this if in the mood.

15:45 – Tango Boy
TANGO BOY failed to beat a rival home at Wetherby last time, finishing weakly after travelling well, but he has been freshened up since that outing in December and should be suited by the better ground here, so it would be little surprise were he to bounce back. Tango Boy had won at Wetherby on his previous outing and is only 3 lb higher than for that length-and-a-quarter success, so is clearly on a competitive mark if back in form.
16:15 – Tedtwo
TEDTWO did his best work at the finish when a running-on third in a one-mile-five-furlong bumper at Market Rasen in October and he ran to a similar level when runner-up at Doncaster last time, as expected having no problem with the step up to two miles. He sets the standard and this looks like a good opportunity for him to get off the mark.
