13:10 – Horzantzau Dairy
When HORANTZAU DAIRY was second on his only Irish appearance so far Paul Townend was correct in choosing him over the fourth horse who has shown useful form since. The ex-French 1m5f winner may now overcome the lack of a recent run to account for Gordon Elliott’s pair Firm Footings and Zefiro Dodville and Noel Meade’s Faulty who has shown ability in bumpers.
13:40 – Ho My Lord
Former French-trained Flat winner HO MY LORD seemed to be well-fancied at Leopardstown at Christmas, only to fall at the second. He may be too strong for a five-strong Elliott team probably headed by Zettabyte who went close on both point-to-point starts. Bloomhill has won a point-to-point. Banjaxed has a place on the strength of last season’s bumper second.

14:10 – Inothewayurthinkin
An interesting race. American Mike is on a retrieval mission but the drop back to 2m is a question mark. Hunters Yarn and Tactical Move were both impressive maiden hurdle winners with improvement in their jumping needed. Despite giving weight away, the most solid proposition could well be INOTHEWAYURTHINKIN for whom the drop back to 2m should suit.
14:40 – Meet And Greet
Question marks about plenty of these, including the likely market leaders Blazing Khal after a lengthy absence and Saint Sam with his style of racing. The most solid proposition might well be MEET AND GREET after his excellent third at Leopardstown and with the step back up in trip after Naas in his favour.

15:10 – Fairly Bold
An open race unsurprisingly. Dragon’s Pass comes here on the back of dead-heating at Fairyhouse, while Gold Haven has a chance of making up for a narrow loss here last time on her debut for Paul Flynn. Cave Court and Indie Belle make plenty of appeal at the top of the handicap. It might be worth taking a chance on FAIRLY BOLD, who ran much better than his finishing position at Fairyhouse last time after 19 months off and could improve more over this trip.
15:40 – Churchstonewarrior
This provides CHURCHSTONEWARRIOR with a good chance of stepping up after three successive seconds, the most recent in a Grade 1. His jumping is a source of concern, and he will need to be error-free in order to beat Mahler Mission who looked good here last time and may reverse previous form with Must Be Obeyed. Last year’s Irish Grand National second Frontal Assault could go close if recapturing the form of a Galway victory over Darrens Hope.
16:10 – Sweet Will (NAP)
The luckless Temptationinmilan and the consistent Krabat are among those with leading chances, while the unexposed Brampton Belle also makes plenty of appeal. The one to beat is SWEET WILL (NAP), unlucky to come up against a well-handicapped rival at Fairyhouse, but has a good chance here with the stable in cracking form.
16:40 – Firefox
A couple of expensive horses clash here. The experience obtained by FIREFOX in a maiden hurdle and a bumper this season may give him an edge over The Gunner Yeats, a maiden point winner in December 2021. Any Road has improved with each run, and Ballystone has form that ties in with one of the season’s most exciting bumper horses.
