INSTIT probably should have won when filling the runner-up spot at Naas last time, appearing to have the race in the bag when a serious mistake at the last caused her to lose all momentum. She has the makings of a useful chaser if she can brush up on her jumping and a clear round against four vastly inferior rivals should be enough for her to make amends this time.

13:15 – Shes Some Doll
SHES SOME DOLL is prone to mistakes over fences and has failed to complete on her last two starts, but she probably would have played a hand in the finish but for falling two out at Tramore on New Year’s Day. She is clearly on a workable mark when putting it all together and it could be worth giving her another chance now back up in grade.
13:45 – Minella Crooner
MINELLA CROONER has looked a smart staying prospect in three starts over fences to date, producing his best effort when digging deep to get off the mark at this course in December. That form identifies him as very much the one to beat on these terms and the return to further today promises to unlock more improvement as well.
14:20 – One Last Tango
ONE LAST TANGO was unable to complete the hat-trick at Leopardstown over Christmas, but he still showed improved form to hit the frame. Aidan Kelly – who is proving excellent value for his 7 lb claim – takes over in the saddle today and it looks a good opportunity for One Last Tango to resume winning ways despite having to concede weight all round now back in novice company.
14:50 – Gordons Aura
GORDONS AURA ran another solid race when finishing third at Naas last time, hitting the frame for the second start in a row. That form sets the standard here on Timeform’s weight-adjusted ratings and it’s unlikely that he’s finished improving just yet. A few interesting newcomers feature among the opposition, but Gordons Aura rates a solid selection to open his account at the fifth attempt.

15:20 – Lot Of Joy
LOT OF JOY again shaped well when filling the runner-up spot at Leopardstown a few weeks ago, looking the likeliest winner for a long way before being collared close home. A useful performer on the Flat, she is likely to progress further over hurdles and just a repeat of the form she showed last time should be good enough for her to gain a first success in this sphere.
15:50 – Stuzzikini
STUZZIKINI showed much improved form when chasing home a progressive stable companion at Punchestown last month, keeping on well to be beaten less than five lengths. The winner gave that form a boost when following up on his next start at the same course and Stuzzikini is hard to oppose this time with nothing of that calibre in opposition.
16:20 – Premier Queen
PREMIER QUEEN left behind her previous efforts over hurdles to get off the mark at Clonmel three weeks ago, hitting the front on the home turn and gradually drawing clear from there to win by 30 lengths. This will be tougher following a 12 lb hike in the weights, but she may yet have more to offer now that she’s found the winning groove and is fancied to prove equal to the task.
