Having caught the eye in retained blinkers at Wolverhampton last month, PINK JAZZ may well be the answer off 17lb below his last winning mark. Second choice is Ballybaymoonshiner, whose turn looks near. Nick Vedder and Beau Geste are other likely players on recent form, while Angus De Bull is a possible improver.

The percentage call is SPRING PROMISE on the back of her promising debut second. Queen Regent (second choice), Pillarsofcreation and Veil Of Shadows, a stablemate of the selection, are newcomers who make obvious paper appeal.

Foinix has been knocking on the door in recent weeks and will be dangerous under his promising 7lb claimer if the combination of refitted cheekpieces and a drop back in trip pays dividends. However, preference is for PROBABLE, who ran a big race in defeat in first-time blinkers at Wolverhampton last month and ought to be suited by the return to this track. All Dunn moves up in grade after winning two classified races but he recorded a very solid Topspeed figure last time and might still be improving.

Chola Empire isn’t opposed lightly on the back of his comfortable Southwell success two weeks ago but the manner in which KINGDOM COME took a C&D novice on his recent return from an absence suggests he could be useful.
19:30 – Hiatus
Considering that he’s still unexposed over 6f and again receives weight all round, HIATUS (nap) has a good chance of following up last week’s C&D success. In-form Ignac Lamar is second choice ahead of Mogok Valley. Market support for possible improver Beautiful Sunrise should be heeded.
20:00 – Arab Cinder
Rockabill Angel and last year’s winner How Hard Can It Be (second choice) are respected on the back of runner-up efforts last time but the vote goes to ARAB CINDER on her first outing for the excellent Mick Appleby stable.

Campese has a squeak for his new yard but this looks likely to lie between Yagan and WINKLEVI. Both have much more solid claims than their rivals on current form and it’s Winklevi who gets the vote as he remains well treated on his AW form last winter.
