13:10 Leopardstown – Historique Reconce
I’ve landed on Historique Reconce for Willie Mullins. She’s only had the one run for Willie when winning at Tramore in August. Her best run in France before that was finishing fifth at Vichy in 2021. She’s a half sister to Chacun Pour Soi and you can see why Willie has given her a go. She’s going off a mark of 116 and she could be anything – as in pure quality or rubbish – so back with care!

13:40 Leopardstown – James Du Berlais
I want to be against Mighty Potter but he is the deserved favourite on the back of his Drinmore win. He handles soft ground well and he has a bit in hand on his rivals. He’s looked good over fences but I’m going to take a chance on James Du Berlais for Willie Mullins. He’s the most interesting runner in here and he could be open to plenty of improvement. The ground won’t be an issue too.

14:10 Leopardstown – Blue Lord
It’s very hard to be against Blue Lord for Willie as I can’t make a case for the others. It’s a case of enjoy Blue Lord!
14:40 Leopardstown – Charlie Stout (each-way)
I’m taking a chance on the outsider Charlie Stout for Shane Nolan. His form is good enough to be able to hit the frame. He was mid 130s a year ago and he runs off 116 now. It’s an insult to have him at that price so it’s worth a go!
15:10 Leopardstown – Honeysuckle
I can see Honeysuckle going off the favourite for this and I fancy her to beat State Man. You can’t be absolutely confident after the Hatton’s Grace and the form has been franked since. This is a big test for her and it’ll be crucial in deciding what Henry de Bromhead does in terms of Cheltenham.
15:40 Leopardstown – Irish Point (Betting Without Facile Vega)
Facile Vega should win and it might be worth looking in the Betting Without market. Irish Point or Il Etait Temps could be the value picks but I’ll go with Gordon Elliott’s runner. He impressed in the Lawlor’s Of Naas last month and I thought he was crying out for 2m, which he gets here.

16:10 Leopardstown – Gaelic Warrior
This isn’t the strongest race and I can’t really see anything that will beat Gaelic Warrior for Willie. He’s bolted up at Tramore and Clonmel this season and I’d be disappointed if he’s not good enough to win this.
16:40 Leopardstown – Rockstown Girl (each-way)
I don’t really have an opinion on this race but if I have to pick a runner I’d go with Rockstown Girl. Her fourth at Leopardstown in December looks solid form now so she could be worth chancing.
