Mehman is open to further improvement after his last win over course and distance ahead of stablemate Primo Uomo but I like Jawwaal, who was third on that day at Dundalk. It’s his second run under Joseph O’Brien and he can step forward after his impressive run last time.

16:30 – Miami Thunder

It didn’t go to plan for News At Ten last month at Dundalk and he should have improved for that run and while he sets the standard, I’m going to take him on with Miami Thunder, who ran a cracker on his debut in January. He’s stepping up to a mile and he will have improved from his last run.

17:00 – Lauroline

Banned ran on Wednesday night and she’s dropping down in distance which should suit but I like Lauroline, who has a great draw in stall two. She should be hard to beat but Solar Breeze could be her main threat.

17:30 – Barbapapa

We’ll be talking a lot about Henry de Bromhead this weekend and I’m confident Barbapapa is his biggest runner of the weekend… He should be really hard to beat and he won well in maiden company here last year. He really likes the surface and his rating of 73 is exploitable.

18:00 – Doctor Grace (NAP)

Cherry Pink is worth a mention but Doctor Grace should be very hard to beat. She finished third in a higher graded race last time out and she had to make her challenge from out wide. It was a huge run and she can go one more here and win against lower class opposition.

18:30 – Dancing Tango

Dancing Tango for Joseph O’Brien is open to plenty of improvement after winning at Dundalk in December. She might just have the edge over Firstman, who has to be respected after winning his last two.

19:00 – Matilda With Me

Dark Street has been consistent and he will likely go off the favourite but I like Matilda With Me for Rodger Sweeney, who is a really good mare. She should win this and she’s back to 10f which is an ideal trip for her. She’s had one win and three places in her five runs over this distance. She’s value to take on the rest.

19:30 – Surac

Arch Enemy could go well but I’ve landed on Surac for Richard O’Brien. He’s primed to win after his run at Punchestown in October. He’s a real player on his polytrack debut back on the Flat.
