There are likely plenty of winners to come out of the race DIVERGE contested on debut and he can get off the mark here on his second start for Willie Mullins. Mon Coeur was an impressive winner of a bumper last July and is interesting on hurdles debut, while Tophill Low ran an encouraging race on his latest start at Naas.

13:22 – Action Motion (NAP)

There are a lot of interesting handicap debutants here, none more so than ACTION MOTION (NAP) who showed a good attitude when winning his maiden hurdle at Cork three weeks ago and an opening mark of 118 could be within reach. Ludus was a good winner in Limerick and the third has gone on to win since, while Sundial has been pitched into some strong races of late and should find this more suitable.

13:57 – Princess Zoe

Connections of former Prix du Cadran winner PRINCESS ZOE had reportedly considered retiring her after a disappointing end to last season but have clearly had second thoughts, an Albert Bartlett entry suggesting she has been pleasing them ahead of this first start over hurdles. She will have to win here with some authority to warrant the trip to Cheltenham. Both of her main rivals, Pink In The Park and Knockanard Lady have been a bit disappointing of late.

14:32 – Sir Argus

Hard to look beyond SIR ARGUS, who looked set to make a winning start over timber when coming down two from home at Clonmel in a maiden that is working out well. The Elliott pair Jeepydoff Meel and Abbeydale may be the ones to follow the selection home.

15:07 – Sa Fureur

Winner of a maiden here over 2m recently, SA FUREUR could well be a level above these and should have no problem stepping up in trip. Hardly any of his rivals could be safely ruled out in place terms, the best probably being Starzov and Hartur d’Arc.

15:42 – Thefaithfulindian

Not an appetising betting proposition but perhaps this step up in trip could see THEFAITHFULINDIAN get off the mark over hurdles. Fox Le Bel is proving expensive to follow but still looks the most likely major threat, along with the veteran Glenabo Bridge, while Monoxide comes here on the back of a recent good run over fences and could go well. 

16:17 – Fortunate Lady

This isn’t the strongest contest of its type and it represents a good opportunity for FORTUNATE LADY who put in her best effort at Limerick last time out, especially now the third has come out and won. She should handle this distance and prove hard to beat. Two For The Road and Esthers Marvel represent the main dangers.
