Axel Jacklin tends to come good at this time of year and he’s one to note for market confidence back from a break. Naadyaa, River Chorus and No Diggity can’t be dismissed but DIVINE MESSENGER went desperately close to winning a similar event at Lingfield last week and he can gain compensation.

Rooful bumped into a handicap blot here last time and had looked progressive beforehand so she is high on the list. Queen Of Burgundy is reliable and can feature again but PIFFLE looked on the way back last time and she can prove too strong for her rivals.
18:30 – Cotopaxi Moon
This may not take much winning and COTOPAXI MOON is the choice among those to have run, but market support for a newcomer would be significant, Karakoy and Papal Music fitting the bill on paper.
19:00 – Mawkeb
Multiple C&D scorer Uzincso is much respected after a better effort last time but preference is for MAWKEB who got caught a bit too far back in a tactical race at Chelmsford last time and can show he’s still on a favourable mark. Asdaa and Crystal Casque, another who knows where the winning post is here, complete the shortlist.
19:30 – Ziggy (NAP)
In a useful contest ZIGGY (NAP) very much stands out, as the handicapper wasn’t able to put him up for splitting much higher-rated rivals in a Newcastle conditions race last time. Pride Of America is proven when fresh and could easily have more to offer for the Amy Murphy stable in 2023, so he’s put up for the forecast spot ahead of the thriving Capital Theory.

The Newmarket-trained handicap debutantes Rogue Missile, Cool Lightning (second choice) and Annie Gale all have something to recommend them, but KENSINGTON AGENT is preferred. She looked to have a bit in hand when winning at Wolverhampton ten days ago and that effort was backed up by the clock.
20:30 – Swaffham Bulbeck
Returned from a year off to finish second over 1m6f at Southwell in August and has largely performed with credit in defeat in Class 3 handicap hurdles since; SWAFFHAM BULBECK is likely to go well.
