LOR DES ROSES is a very interesting runner in this field and represents some nice value. Disappointed in a hat trick bid last out when fourth over three miles but looks extremely interesting today, dropped back in trip to 2m 1f. A winner over 2m 4f and is a confirmed front runner who doesn’t have much competition for the lead, he could very well stretch these out early and be very difficult to peg back. He’s won on soft ground and I’d have him a lot shorter in the market in this contest.

KALANISI DUBH took her form to a whole new level last time, winning over course and distance. She was stretching further clear at the line so the 7lb penalty may not be enough to slow her down. She won the best turned out prize that day so she’s clearly in her peak time of the season which can’t be said for many of the field. Still very lightly raced with only seven runs under rules, she’s open to more progression.
17:30 Southwell

FINAL FRONTIER has been running very well of late without getting into the winner’s enclosure. He has form at this Class 5 level and now an eye-catching jockey booking in Like Morris for the Ruth Carr stable who is the leading trainer at the track with her four-year-olds and older in the last 5 seasons. The yard is in good form and Final Frontier looks a really nice each-way bet.
18:30 Southwell
TipMan Selection – Della Mare
1.5 points each-way
The seven-year-old DELLA MARE has a great record on the sand at Southwell and clearly likes the track. She has run here four times with three top three finishes and two wins. She is lightly raced with only 14 runs so is not as exposed as some of these. Rattled off two in a row here early last year and finished third in December.
She’s been dropped a few lbs and looks a serious player in this open-looking handicap.
