14:25 Down Royal – Limerick Lace (Lee Sobot)
LIMERICK LACE is a useful hurdle winner who has made a decent start to life over fences the last twice. Promising fifth on chase debut in decent contest at Navan over 2m1f on penultimate start. Second on latest start, beaten 5l by Drumbear. Finding less than looked likely. Slight drop in trip and big shout despite giving away weight.
16:10 Down Royal – No Time To Wait (myracing)
NO TIME TO WAIT is a Walk In The Park gelding. Cost 48,000Euros as a yearling and 150,000Euros as a 3yo. Fell in both point outings but it was an encouraging debut under Rules when third of 11 at Leopardstown last month when the front three pulled a long way clear. That form hasn’t been put to the test. Likeable pedigree and should improve.
19:00 Southwell – Tolstoy (Andrew Bladen)
TOLSTOY stayed on well for third over C&D on New Year’s Day. Came very wide around the home turn at Lingfield ten days ago but still looked in form. May be happier back on a straight track. Interesting off a workable mark.
20:30 Southwell – Run Teddy Run (The Brigadier)
RUN TEDDY RUN has found a chunk of improvement of late, following his easy C&D win nine days ago with another victory here on Friday. Has a 10lb penalty to deal with but the latest win was a good effort on the clock and he still looks feasibly weighted. Obvious claims in his hat-trick bid.
