12:45 – Naughty Ted

Remunerator hasn’t shown much in her four runs so far but this is much weaker and her yard have tormented the handicapper this winter. She may take a big step forward but she will need to and there are others of some interest. There were more positive signs from How Exciting at Southwell this week and she is feared but NAUGHTY TED may be the answer. His two nursery runs here in the autumn were better than his finishing positions suggest and this looks very winnable.

NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?

13:15 – Quercus Robur

Yagan is a major player back down into Class 6 company and tried in headgear but this may go to QUERCUS ROBUR. He looked good over C&D 18 days ago, when having a few of today’s rivals in behind, and his subsequent defeat over 1m4f is easy enough to forgive. Glory And Honour still has low mileage on the Flat and is another to consider.

13:45 – Rosa Der Rio

The vote goes to handicap debutante ROSA DEL RIO (NAP), who has improved steadily at maiden/novice level and is likely to take another step forward. She cost 200,000gns as a yearling and represents a notable yard so looks the type to do better still. Russian Virtue, who has been in the winning groove over hurdles this winter, is feared most.

14:15 – Princess Nieve

Liberated Lad is the obvious starting point after his wide-margin win at Southwell on Friday. He’s well treated under his penalty but in PRINCESS NIEVE he’s up against a filly who should still have her best days ahead of her. She wasn’t seen to best effect at Kempton on Thursday night but this longer trip should suit and she can gain her second win of the year.

14:45 – Nuketown

The once-raced contenders are all open to improvement, not least NUKETOWN who could take a significant step forward granted a faster start today, having shown promise despite losing significant ground leaving the gates on his debut. Closely matched rivals Odin Owns You All and Sir John Monash are respected in that order of preference, while the two newcomers need to be monitored for market confidence.

15:15 – Shalaa Asker

Only six runners but each one has something to recommend them. Walking On Clouds is greatly respected after another fine run at Southwell this week but SHALAA ASKER is handicapped to win if the cards fall right.
