Carrigeen Lotus is interesting for Liz Lalor, who needed her run at Limerick in December. She finished third that day and she can hit the frame at least here at hopefully a decent price.
I was very impressed with Pembroke’s last run at Ludlow and I’m siding with him over Chasing Fire. The form from Pembroke’s win has worked out really well and he looks the best horse in the race.
The only bet you can have in this race at the prices is Jason The Militant. I can’t back Epatante at her price and the ground isn’t ideal for an odds-on runner. I’m not sure on I Like To Move It on the ground but Jason The Militant will love it. He’s been sold since we last saw him and he was running well in Listed company in the summer. I’m going to chance him running well.

There’s no bigger fan of Bristol De Mai than myself and I don’t think he was disgraced in the Betfair Chase last time out. Nigel Twiston-Davies has been bullish in saying he’s as good as he’s ever been and he’s down to 154. He has the class to win this. Fontaine Collonges will be a player but I couldn’t forgive myself if I didn’t back Bristol De Mai.
