12:27 – The X O

The X O ran a cracker on his racecourse debut over this course and distance, then disappointed quite badly at Chelmsford. However, he regained his composure to put up a polished display when winning very comfortably last time at Southwell. He reappears here in his first handicap on what looks a workable mark of 80.

NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?

13:02 – Beau Geste

Like a good few of those in here, Beau Geste has been cut some slack by the handicapper and looked as if he was ready to strike over a furlong shorter last time as he was gathering momentum late on. Stepping back up in distance holds no fears and we have another 7lb off his back with Molly Gunn on board.

FANCY A CHANCE TO WIN £/€25k FOR FREE?

14:12 – Million Thanks

Million Thanks has his first try for the new stables, off the back of a 178 day absence and we have a few equipment changes. He gets the tongue tie on and also has been gelded to help with the focus. He must’ve been showing plenty of pace in his homework as they drop him back down to the long sprint distance for the first time in his career and it might just get him to click for the new team.

14:47 – Al Agaila

Al Agaila was a little slow to catch on as to what was required and she’s off the back of a slight break. She has taken her form to another level when winning easily at Kempton and then destroying the opposition over course and distance last time. That was her first try over the mile and a quarter and she’s got an 11lb hike by the handicapper but it won’t slow her down too much.

15:22 – Silky Wilkie

Silky Wilkie has been fairly aggressively campaigned over 6f but dropping back down to the minimum is going to play to his strengths and he arguably comes in here as the main form choice. His last four races have all been very competitive from a mark in the low 90s and his rider Sam Feilden has a chance to showcase his talents as a player for the champion apprentice title this season.

15:57 – Super Den

Super Den the services of Tom Marquand, which will definitely be a bonus in the saddle. Added to that he has been gifted an inside position with a full field of 12 hopefully going to post. He has a 4lbs turnaround in the weights with Starshiba from last time and that may well just swing it in his favour along with the fact that this is just his second try over course and distance, so we can expect him to be a little slicker.
