15:45 – FIRST SNOWFALL

An open race in which the vote goes to FIRST SNOWFALL, who forged 4l clear in a classified event over C&D last week and is a major player if she can repeat that form back in a handicap. The other last-time-out winner Oscar Doodle is feared most, although Calcutta Dream should be in the mix again and Going Underground looks interesting if he can rediscover his spark. Others who could be dangerous are Hildenley and Pallas Lord.

16:15 – END ZONE

The vote goes to class-dropper END ZONE who holds good claims at this level off a workable mark. Handicap debutant Heretic (second choice) is interesting back at the scene of his October promise, while recent C&D scorer Endofastorm may have more to offer at this venue, Broctune Red has possibilities back down in grade and Eleven Eleven could stage a revival.

16:45 – CHAMPAGNY

With the drop back in trip a concern regarding recent Lingfield winner Gilded Moon this may be between old rivals The Angelus Belle and CHAMPAGNY, who were first and third over C&D a week ago. The former should go well again, but the selection is 6lb better off for around a length and seems to be steadily improving with racing.

17:15 – GLORIOUS ANGEL

None of the four can be ruled out with any confidence. The key to Megan Moon is whether she settles better on handicap debut and if she does she will be a threat to all. However, despite the double penalty and drop back in trip, GLORIOUS ANGEL is taken to complete the hat-trick. She certainly isn’t lacking for early pace.

17:45 – MODULAR MAGIC

A market check is advised with regard to Bert Kibbler on his return from a year off, as the ceiling of his ability on the AW may still not have been reached. However, his stablemate MODULAR MAGIC (nap) looked most unlucky not to win over C&D eight days ago and he can gain compensation from the same mark (he’s due a 3lb rise). The consistent Bellagio Man may be best at 6f but the return to this stiffer track should help and he may provide the biggest danger.

18:15 – MAN OF EDEN

This looks a good opportunity for MAN OF EDEN, who recorded RPRs in the 80s in four of his five starts in Ireland and sets a clear standard on his first run for the Charltons. Admiral Jack and Latest Edition are feared most in that order, although the newcomer Melwood Bay has a striking pedigree and needs watching in the market for an in-form yard.

18:45 – ATHOLLBLAIR BOY

Plenty have possibilities but it might be worth siding with ATHOLLBLAIR BOY, who recorded his seventh course win when scoring over C&D in November. Highjacked has finished runner-up here in his last two starts and he’s respected on this drop back in grade. Others on the shortlist are Seesawing and Irish raider Delta Romeo.
