13:40 Wolverhampton

TipMan Selection – Pillars Of Earth

1.5 points each-way

PILLARS OF EARTH, one of the least exposed horses in this field and is dropped in grade having finished a decent 4th at Newbury on turf when last seen. Three time a winner on the AW and open to progress now for a yard in great form lately and a yard who have a very good course record. Looks a great price here and is well up to winning a race like this. 

14:05 Dundalk

TipMan Selection – Thatboathassailed

1.5 points each-way

THATBOATHASSAILED made a massive improvement when running in a maiden last time out on third career start and the first three in that race have franked the form and he was conceding weight that day. In form yard who you would almost certainly think have improved, the horse and the jockeys 10lb claim makes him very attractive against these older exposed horses. Handles this track and has a decent enough draw. First time tongue tie is an interesting addition but nonetheless he looks LIKE a very interesting prospect and if the yard have improved him he goes close here.

14:35 Dundalk

TipMan Selection – Maralinga

1.5 points each-way

Another horse here who’s run last time out has worked out pretty well with the winner and third horse both coming out and winning again. That trip did look to stretch MARALINGA a bit so the drop back to 1m 2f were he’s done all his best work and posted his best numbers looks ideal. Drops down to this grade for the first time and with a decent draw in stall 5 it would be no shock to see him winning this.

14:40 Wolverhampton

TipMan Selection – Hot Day 

1.5 points each-way

Firstly this looks an extremely poor race and it really won’t take much winning. HOT DAY is a previous course winner off a 7lb higher mark than where he finds himself today, that’s before a very good apprentice takes of another 5lb so he’s extremely well in. Form hasn’t been great since but certainly not as poor as this race looks, finished a good 2l 5th at Lingfield last week and can come on for that effort here turned around quickly.

15:10 Dundalk

TipMan Selection – Skontonovski 

1.5 points each-way

SKONTONOVSKI a regular here and rarely runs a bad race around this track, including last time out when we had him run into a place for us. Has won of a mark of 74 before so the mark of 69 today looks very enticing, that’s before the jockeys 5lb claim to boot. An open race no doubt but this horse tends to always run his race here and on such a good mark like he is now it’s very difficult to ignore.

16:20 Dundalk

TipMan Selection – Patsy Fagan

1.5 points each-way

Another horse who’s very well in on his old form having previously been rated 78, PATSY FAGAN is now running here on a mark of 60. Five runs since moving to Ireland and now having his first run for a new stable which may provide the spark that’s needed. On old form he’s more than capable here and he’s not old enough to be written off yet. Got a good draw and a 7lb apprentice claim, could be a massive player here if returning to form.

16:37 Southwell

TipMan Selection – Broad Appeal

1.5 points each-way

BROAD APPEAL looks well worth an EW play here now dropped another 2lbs and now well in on some old form including his seasonal debut run behind Haku which looks particularly interesting. May well have needed the runs the last two times after a break and now he should be ready to roll. Fastest horse in this field on the speed figures I have and now stepped back up in trip this looks a real opportunity and a great bit of value.

18:15 Southwell

TipMan Selection – Kraken Florida

1.5 points each-way

KRAKEN FLORIDA‘S effort last time out hinted that the return back to 7f looks very promising after finishing a close up 2nd at this track. Unexposed type who we can expect is likely to improve having his 3rd run for a new stable and with a 5lb jockey claim. Trainer has a good record here and I would expect money to come in for this one. Open looking race with plenty of chances but not many previous winners.
