NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?

Tipman Tips use a points system to track profit and loss. To calculate your point value, simply divide your monthly budget into 100 points, it can be done with any budget and any value, for example:

* £50 Monthly Budget – 50p Point Value
* £100 Monthly Budget – £1 Point Value
* £200 Monthly Budget – £2 Point Value

So, in practice:

12:50 – Royal Ascot
Red Rum 5/1 – 1.5 points each-way (3pts total)

If you had a budget of £200 you would place £3 each-way on the example selection above (£6 total)

13:40 Kempton

TipMan Selection – Drum Brae Boy
Wager: 1.5 points each-way

Wide open 3 yo handicap here with only two horses who have won races to date and there’s a few of these that will be fancied to go well. A couple of nibbles in the early prices but the one I like is DRUM BRAE BOY, 3 times course and distance top 3 finishes from 3 starts, rarely runs a bad race here and has posted some decent figures too. Did used to have a problem settling but the effort last time out was very encouraging and if able to settle again here has a good chance. Kempton is very course specific so that form here is valued and a good draw in stall 3 is always a positive. Regal Glory should lead here and he’s next door to our selection so should get a nice toe in.

15:50 Kempton

TipMan Selection – Silver Dollar
Wager: 1.5 points each-way

SILVER DOLLAR who was well backed last time out when only managing a 5th place over 7f returns to a track that saw his most impressive victory yet. Won well here last year over 6f and is back down to that trip today. Draw could be slightly problematic but there doesn’t look like a lot of early pace here so he may get away with it. Good amateur jockey on board, one of the best in this race and the trainer has a decent enough strike rate around here compared to the others in this field.

17:30 Southwell

TipMan Selection – Another Bertie
Wager: 1.5 points each-way

Front runner ANOTHER BERTIE looks very interesting here, 2 time course winner who got back on track last time out when 4th here at Southwell showing that a return to the winners enclosure could be imminent. Didn’t really get the run of the race that day but could get a much easier lead today and be tough the peg back. Not as exposed as some of these so definitely open to see some improvement and has a nice 7lb claimer on the back. Good chance for EW purposes at the least.

20:00 Southwell

TipMan Selection – Homer Stokes
Wager: 1.5 points each-way

HOMER STOKES who’s run well on all 3 starts here at Southwell including a win up in grade. Drops back to the minimum class today and the sires course form is very decent in this field. Already seeing money coming for this so may have slightly missed the boat but still worth taking in this wide open little handicap. Fastest horse in the race on speed figures I have a and a 7lb claim looks a big positive too.
