Race 1: Warwick 14:25 – Moon Hunter
RORY: MOON HUNTER may be overpriced here to kick off our Paddy’s Pick 5 selections. Henry Daly’s unbeaten son of Pether’s Moon is bred to cope with the testing ground being out of a Sir Harry Lewis mare. He looks a resolute galloper and he and runner-up had their rivals well stretched out behind them when dominating a big-field novice at Doncaster last time.
Race 2: Kempton 14:40 – Harbour Lake
RORY: HARBOUR LAKE is really solid here. He’s a slow-maturing seven-year-old who is unexposed beyond 2½m and gives the impression there is more to come as his stamina is drawn out. A consistent sort who jumps soundly, I would be disappointed if he didn’t make the frame with the track and trip looking sure to suit him.

Race 3: Warwick 15:00 – Guetapan Collonges
RUBY: I have my doubts about Mr Incredible as he definitely has his own ideas so I’m with GUETAPAN COLLONGES, who had plenty in hand when winning at Warwick in November.
RORY: It’s tempting to stick with Grumpy Charley after his Mandarin win at Newbury, but GUETAPAN COLLONGES is a cracking bet having shown improved form to win with a bit up his sleeve here in November.
Race 4: Fairyhouse 15:22 – Sea Ducor
RUBY: As I look down the runners, Clonbury Bridge is on a mark of 116 – or 11st 5lbs – so if you got to 12st, which SEA DUCOR carries, that makes him around 125. It’s not an official handicap mark but his rating over hurdles was 134 so he’s 9lbs, in theory, well in here. If he loses he’d probably have a handicap mark of 125 but he’s in a race that he’s capable of winning!
Race 5: Warwick 15:35 – The Bomber Liston
RUBY: I’m drawn to THE BOMBER LISTON, who ran better than his finishing position at Punchestown last April, to complete our Paddy’s Pick 5 selections. He raced on the pace that day and got caught late on. He was okay Kempton on Boxing Day and he steps up in trip here.
