Rosette and No Saint are the leading form contenders but the former is an exposed sort who is 0-7 and the latter has failed to justify favouritism three times now. They are far from bombproof and set only an ordinary standard. LETS FLY AWAY, who should build on her Newcastle debut promise, is a tempting alternative. Wolf Of Kingstreet, a similar type to the selection, is second choice. The two newcomers need a market check.
18:30 – BLUFF
While Matching Sox (second choice) and Erosion Risk are respected on ratings, the former is going into the unknown without a hood and the latter is comparatively exposed. An interesting alternative is BLUFF, whose promising debut came in a Chelmsford event that has thrown up several winners.
19:00 – MISS NAY NEVER
Productive mare MISS NAY NEVER (nap) came from stall 1 to win C&D contests the last twice and, from the same draw again, she could well enhance her impressive strike-rate on AW. Double Dealing, whose best effort for his current yard came over C&D, is the suggested second choice ahead of Atiyah who may stage a revival back here.
19:30 – GRANGECLARE VIEW
Off a reduced mark and with Adam Farragher taking off a useful 3lb, class-dropper GRANGECLARE VIEW is the selection ahead of some rivals who have better recent form figures. He could well raise his game at this level and record a first win since joining his new stable. Asdaa, Mabre and Giorgio Vasari are obvious dangers in that order of preference.

As an in-form contender who represents an in-form yard, COMEDIAN LEADER holds every chance of following up last week’s Southwell success, especially with Billy Loughnane’s useful claim. Rebel Angel ties in with the selection and has to be respected. Twilight Jazz is possibly not crying out for this drop back in trip but she has a good chance if backing up her classified effort.
20:30 – WINKLEVI
Recent course winners WINKLEVI, Bascinet and Estrela Star provide the main substance to this race, in that order of preference, while Got Bright has possibilities if building on his latest effort. Winklevi holds particularly strong claims off the same mark as last week.
