BIRD ON THE WIRE appeared to really come back into some form last time out when third over course and distance in a much deeper race than this. The drop in grade is a massive plus as is the jockeys 3lb claim. Ran here twice before both in 2022 winning in January and then the placed effort last time out. Serious player if in the same form as that last effort.

Exeter 13:35

TipMan Selection – Rose Of Arcadia 
15/8 – 3 points win 

A small field and Rose of Arcadia absolutely bolted up last time out by 22 lengths. Two starts on heavy ground have both been victories for ROSE OF ARCADIA and the testing conditions could help her see off Blackjack Magic and Anglers Crag here who are both 0-3 on heavy going. Up in grade following that emphatic win, but Freddie Gingell takes of 7lbs and he still looks well handicapped on her old form. She has run well in higher class than this previously and could prove a little bit too good again today if building on that latest win.

Exeter 14:10

TipMan Selection – Bellamy’s Grey
17/2 – 1.5 points each-way
4 places with PP if all line up. 

BELLAMY’S GREY winner of this race last year of a 2lb higher mark looks very well suited to go well again today. He’s an 11-year-old now which isn’t always ideal but showed no signs of slowing down when a respectable fifth on his seasonal debut at this track last time. The booking of Harry Cobden is massive and a bit of a surprise, considering he’s never ridden for this trainer before. It also suggests this one is massively fancied by connections. With Cobden booting home a four-timer at Taunton on Monday, this one is sure to go well.

Doncaster 14:25

TipMan Selection – Lyrical Genius
15/2 – 1.5 points each-way

LYRICAL GENIUS a lightly-raced six-year-old for Charlie Longsdon and has already proven quite useful with a course win to his name in 2021. That was in today’s grade and he’s been tested in Class 3 and 2 company since, running with credit but being a bit outclassed on both occasions. A front- running type who could get an easy time of things up front  and be able to dictate the race to his liking. The ground is ideal with two wins from three on a sounder surface, he looks to represent some nice value.

Doncaster 15:00

7/1 – 1.5 points each-way

CLEAR WHITE LIGHT for Adrian Keatley is having just his second run for his new stable having finished a pleasing fifth on Boxing Day beaten only four lengths after a seven-month break. Entitled to come on for that fitness wise and the ninth placed horse that day has come out and won a class 3 off a mark 111 since. Clear White Light is on a mark of 111 now and champion jockey Brian Hughes is booked for the ride, suggesting connections expect a big run.

Interestingly, the Wetherby form looks very good with only two horses running since and both winning. I fancy this to get shorter in the market closer to the off.
