In-form 7yo QUEEN OF BURGUNDY appears to be ahead of the assessor and could well record a tenth career success. Valentinka (second choice) was an emphatic winner over C&D when last seen, Algheed looks a solid contender, Piffle has slipped to a handy mark and Saorla is another possible threat.
18:30 – Sparkling Spirit
As a likely improver from a yard among the winners, SPARKLING SPIRIT holds particularly interesting claims. Hello Queen, a similar type, may be the biggest danger provided the widest draw doesn’t prove a hindrance. Medici Chapel has had a few chances but she’s a major player on form.
19:00 – Debydinks
In terms of form, DEBYDINKS and Tennessee Dream are the leading contenders in that order of preference. Class-droppers Blink and Danchovska are open to improvement at this level.
19:30 – Bellagio Man
Top of the list is BELLAGIO MAN, who has done really well in cheekpieces since October and was a clear second behind a major improver at Newcastle last Monday. He’s on the same mark here and should take some stopping if he’s unfazed by this drop to 5f. The main danger is Lihou, who is well treated on his win in this race in 2021 and was an eyecatching third back over C&D last time. Third choice is Yaahobby, who has possibilities if this sets up for his closing style.
20:00 – Guitar
Preference is for GUITAR who can follow up his C&D handicap win last month. The main danger can come from Written Broadcast who was an eyecatching second at Southwell last Sunday, while others with each-way claims are Connie R and Broughtons Flare.

The resurgent Busby has a record of 11112 over C&D and he’s strongly respected, along with Master Of Combat, who had a near miss here last time. Mafia Power turns out quickly again after a disappointing run at Chelmsford last Thursday, but he beat a clear second at this track on his penultimate run and is big player if he can recapture that form. However, the one that appeals most is the lightly raced 4yo MISS BLUEBELLE (nap), who made it 2-4 in handicaps when surging clear over C&D in November and is open to further progress.
