On the back of a solid effort here on Boxing Day, HADLEY PARK (nap) could well defy top weight back down in grade. Unexposed Outrace (second choice) warrants respect off bottom weight back up in class, while handicap newcomers Demilion and Communication are interesting.

Last month’s course winner SERGEANT PEP looks well up to defying a 7lb penalty in this uncompetitive race. My Genghis is an ordinary maiden and Holly Blackmore has plenty to find, so Keep It Hush may prove the biggest danger provided she builds on her Newcastle debut effort.
14:15 – Social Contact
Although SOCIAL CONTACT hasn’t been in the best of form recently, she is on a really good mark and her stable is in fine form so she is given the vote ahead of the in-form pair of Giselles Izzy and Aquamas.
14:45 – Tollerton Forest
Having performed well in a deeper field at Southwell last week, TOLLERTON FOREST holds leading claims. Dafyre looks the biggest threat in a weak classified event.

Bumper winner GENTLE FIRE looks interesting off a mark of just 46 with this step back up in distance a plus on only her second handicap attempt. Blue Hero, who drops back in class, is second choice ahead of last year’s winner Frame Rate.

With an impressive strike-rate in cheekpieces and an unexposed profile over this distance, MOTAWAAZY could well follow up last month’s Newcastle win. Kim Wexler, who has good recent C&D form, is feared most ahead of Ooh Is It and Frisky.
