17:30 – MAGICAL MAX
Porfin continues to go from strength to strength and is respected, while Darryll Holland’s runners Astro Jakk and Lilkian also have something to recommend them. MAGICAL MAX is the most interesting contender in the field, though, with his record fresh suggesting this may be the time to catch him. His new stable fit a tongue-tie for the first time and he appeals as being well handicapped now dropping in class.
NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?
18:00 – PROSPERING
On the back of a promising effort at Southwell, PROSPERING may well take advantage of the 7lb he receives from main form rival Cool Lightning, who commands respect all the same. Market support for interesting newcomer Flying Kiss should be heeded.
18:30 – DELAGATE THE LADY
Company Minx isn’t ideally drawn but she has the ability to play a big part at this level, while Jumira Bridge, Maybe Tonight, Tahonta and Viewfromthestars also have something to recommend them. DELAGATE THE LADY (nap) hasn’t been seen for ten months but her new trainer looks to have found an ideal opportunity for her return and she could prove a cut above these rivals.
19:00 – STORM CATCHER
Bit Harsh (second choice) created a positive impression in a Class 6 handicap on his latest start and should be involved once again, while Mafia Power escapes a penalty for Tuesday’s Wolverhampton win and also comes right into the reckoning. STORM CATCHER was well on top at the finish here four weeks ago though and he can defy his rise in the weights.

Chagall (second choice) should appreciate the return to Chelmsford and he can go well, while Eagle Path and Hachert also have something to recommend them. FACT OR FABLE is a fair sort for this grade, though, and he may prove the answer.
20:00 – LAURENTIA
Lake Sand (second choice) looked hard work in the straight here seven weeks ago but it was still a run that makes him of major interest in this uncompetitive event. Steel Duchess, Moving For Gold and Night Traveller all have something to prove but there have been snippets of encouragement from them previously and they lurk on lowly marks. Marginal preference is for LAURENTIA, though, with the return to this C&D likely to see her in a better light.
20:30 – HOOVES LIKE JAGGER
There is a surface query about HOOVES LIKE JAGGER back on Polytrack but none of them are perfect and the selection is at least a regular winner who ran well in November on his latest start. Bascinet looks the main danger now he’s back on his correct mark but his lack of a win is not ideal, while Ciao Adios has to prove her stamina over another new trip.
