17:00 – Tiger Beetle

Given that he’s still highly unexposed on AW, TIGER BEETLE (nap) could well build on his recent C&D win and follow up. Mafia Power (second choice) ties in closely with the selection on that form, while Queen Of Ipanema remains of interest and Light Up Our Stars is another for the shortlist.

NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?

17:30 – Snipers Eye

Closely matched rivals God Of Fire and Another Dimension are leading players on the figures, while Al Alaali has possibilities upped in distance. However, they all look beatable and there are some interesting types among the newcomers, notably SNIPER’S EYE who will be all the more appealing if the market speaks favourably. Al Khawaneej Storm is the suggested second choice. Keep a close eye on the betting.

18:00 – Sheharz

King Athelstan ran well against an in-form rival at Southwell recently but he doesn’t see much action these days and it’s hard to know whether he will repeat the form. Perhaps SHEHARZ is a better option now she’s back over C&D, having again looked short of stamina at 1m6f since. Compass Point is preferred of the remainder.

18:30 – Port Noir

Off a handy mark returned to the scene of her three AW wins, PORT NOIR may be the answer. Proclivity (second choice) has a good chance if building on last week’s eyecatching effort, while closely matched rivals My Boy Jack and Bungle Bay are other suggestions for the shortlist.

Wolverhampton Races

19:00 – Soaring Eagle

Handicap debutante SOARING EAGLE is heading in the right direction and looks like she’s ready to hit the target. Wakai Umi (second choice) and Doctor Mozart are progressive types who warrant respect, while Cariad Angel has possibilities back down in trip.

19:30 – Nacho

On favourable terms NACHO could well record a fourth C&D success. Embla, who got off the mark here last month, is feared most ahead of Toplight.

20:00 – Bernard Spierpoint

A three-time winner for Charlie Wallis last winter, BERNARD SPIERPOINT has often responded well to new or returning headgear in the past and appeals as the sort to react positively to a change of scenery. Hot Hot Hot is a danger, but habitual slow starter Nellie French will need some luck from the outside stall.

20:30 – Noodle Mission

A maiden handicap in all but name. Man Made Of Smoke has had more chances than his rivals but he’s a solid contender on form, while Last Stand has possibilities in the retained visor. A few of the others are possible improvers, notably handicap newcomers NOODLE MISSION and Sexy Rexy in that order of preference.
