There are three meetings across the tracks in the UK and Ireland on Friday – and our nifty NAPs Table is here to give you a steer on the day’s best bets.

The Paddy Power New Year’s Day Handicap Chase, worth ££56,950 to connections of the first past the post, headlines the card at Cheltenham with Venetia Williams’ Brave Seasca heading the weights. There is also Grade 2 action on the card courtesy of the Paddy Power Novices’ Chase at 1.20pm and Relkeel Hurdle at 2.30pm.
2021 Gold Cup winner Minella Indo is set to make his seasonal reappearance in the Grade 3 New Year’s Day Chase at Tramore but faces competition from four rivals including last season’s National Hunt Chase scorer Stattler. There is also Grade 3 action courtesy of the John & Chich Fowler Memorial EBF Mares Chase at Fairyhouse as Ballyshannon Rose, Dolcita and Scarlet And Dove reoppose from a clash last month.
The ‘Auld Reekie’ Handicap Chase headlines the meeting at Musselburgh with Minella Drama, a Grade 2-winning novice last term, topping the weights. The ITV Racing cameras will also broadcast the Hogmaneigh Handicap Hurdle at 2.45pm. Catterick, Exeter and Fakenham also stage Jumps fixtures before Southwell’s decent all-weather card rounds off the day’s racing.
