The first three home in last year’s renewal of the Savills Chase were set to reoppose this afternoon at Leopardstown but A Plus Tard has been declared a late non runner on vet’s advice.
The subsequent Cheltenham Gold Cup winner was pipped to the post by Galvin 12 months ago, with Kemboy placing third, and has been denied the chance to bounce back from a poor showing on seasonal reappearance in last month’s Betfair Chase.
Galvin has won just once in four races since landing this while the years are catching up with Kemboy, so Paddy Power Irish Gold Cup winner Conflated could be the one to make the most of A Plus Tard’s absence. Franco De Port, French Dynamite, Fury Road and Royal Rendezvous complete the field at 14:20.
Savills Chase odds can be found on the Paddy Power website, Paddy Power app or via our snazzy betting widgets, otherwise Timeform’s horse-by-horse guide to the runners and betting tips from the racing boffins are below.

Savills Chase tips
Timeform: The top-class A PLUS TARD clearly wasn’t himself in the Betfair Chase on his first start since the Gold Cup but he’s well worth another chance to get his season back on track given how dominant he was at Cheltenham. Gordon Elliott holds a strong hand, with Conflated and Galvin feared most.
