Kempton 12:45 – Artistic Choice
ITV Tuesday gets under way here with a juvenile hurdle over 2m. ARTISTIC CHOICE was pretty decent on the Flat and made a good start over hurdles when scoring at Catterick in November. Neither that track or this are probably ideal as he was a strong stayer on the level but he should take some beating here for Michael Bell and Harry Skelton.

Chepstow 13:05 – Broken Halo
ITV also go to Chepstow for this handicap chase over an extended 2m3f. BROKEN HALO stays this trip strongly and has an each way chance for Harry Cobden and Paul Nicholls. My selection is down in the ratings a bit off 135 and should give his running at a track when connections do super well.
Kempton 13:20 – Boothill
The Grade 2 Wayward Lad Novices’ Chase over 2m. I’m not confident here but BOOTHILL has put a few decent performances together over fences and should take some stopping. His win at Ascot two starts ago was really good and he wasn’t disgraced behind Jonbon last time. Trip and track look ideal.
Chepstow 13:40 – Scriptwriter
A Grade 2 Juvenile Hurdle over 2m. SCRIPTWRITER was the best of these on the Flat and has already taken two hurdle races for Milton Harris. The Sean Bowen mount has to give some weight away here to some promising types but has every chance of going in again. Was tough in beating Perseus Way last time. The latter re-opposes and will be a big danger if jumping better.
Kempton 13:55 – Get A Tonic
Handicap Hurdle time for mares over an extended 3m. It’s not going to be easy for GET A TONIC under 12st but I’m struggling to take her on for Harry and Dan Skelton. At this trip for her last few efforts she has been in great form and ran a fine second to Botox Has at Haydock last time. Hard to oppose.
Chepstow 14:10 – Flight Deck (each way)
A handicap hurdle over nearly 3m. FLIGHT DECK stays all day and should have an each way chance for Jonjo O’Neill Snr and Jnr. Under 12st it will take some effort from the eight-year-old but not all of these are proven at the trip and he might keep going better than most.
Kempton 14:30 – Nube Negra
Another Grade 2 here in the Desert Orchid Chase over 2m. Edwardstone is super talented and will be hard to beat. That said there is a chance here for NUBE NEGRA to get an easy lead on the front end and it’s not impossible he might be hard to peg back for Harry and Dan Skelton. At the age of eight there’s still a chance he might have more to come and he looked in great shape when scoring at Cheltenham first time out this season.

Chepstown 14:50 – Truckers Lodge
The feature betting race of the day in the Welsh Grand National Handicap Chase over an extended 3m6f. At a huge price I’ll chuck a few quid each way on TRUCKERS LODGE for Paul Nicholls and Freddie Gingell who takes off 7lb. Truckers has run huge in this race before and was a fine third off a mark of 150 twelve months ago. He’s also only 2lb higher than when second in 2019. Stays all day and goes in the ground.
Kempton 15:09 – Kitty’s Light (each way)
A handicap chase over 3m. KITTY’S LIGHT loves this track and is edging down the handicap for Christian Williams and has Robbie Dunne on top. A mark of 137 is very workable and while he’s been hopeless so far this season there was just a glimmer of life at Newbury last time. He tends to come to life here so a few quid each way.
