A good start to any day is very, very important and I fancy RARE EDITION for Charlie Longsdon and Sam Twiston-Davies in the first race on the King George card. I was really taken with this fella’s second win, which was at Doncaster. I think he’s a really good horse and I’ll definitely be with him.

The King George is a hard race. Bravemansgame, Hitman, L’Homme Presse, Ahoy Senor even will be some people’s choice. The more I look at it and because I’m going to have make a call at some stage, I’m coming down on the side of L’HOMME PRESSE for Venetia Williams and Charlie Deutsch.
14:40 Limerick – Kilcruit
Gerri Colombe of Gordon Elliott will be all the rage with Jordan Gainford riding. I did fancy this horse all week but the small field – only five runners – means this will be a real tactical affair and I think KILCRUIT under Sean O’Keeffe could just have too many gears for Gerri Colombe.
