Course regular Sociologist may be allowed his own way in front so is respected, alongside recent Wolverhampton winner Starfighter and the unexposed Foursome.

A few of these have stamina to prove, including DIAMOND RANGER, but the dam’s side of his pedigree suggests he should stay the longer trip. He has run well in all three starts on the AW and there may still be more to come from him as he made his debut only in May. Suffrajet also remains open to improvement while Qaasid could play a part if ready to go after a break, but the biggest danger may come from Night Bear on account of being the only previous course winner in the field.

If able to establish an uncontested lead Eagle Eyed Freddie could take some catching, but slight preference is for HASEEF. Although 0-17, he has been running well in defeat lately and a reproduction of his latest Wolverhampton third may well be enough. Capparis ran much better when a close third at the same track last time and wouldn’t need to improve much on that in order to take a hand.
WANT A CHANCE TO WIN £/€100K FOR FREE?
19:00 – Kodebreaker
If able to dominate as when winning at Chelmsford last time Channel Packet would have to be respected while Six Strings may appreciate the return to this trip. The maiden Shabs is running well enough to suggest he can figure, but the vote goes to KODEBREAKER who has run well in both visits here, including when fourth behind a subsequent winner this month.
19:30 – Zealot
An interesting race in which the vote goes to Mick Appleby’s ZEALOT who put in a dominant display at Kempton on Monday and is well treated under a penalty for that 5l success. Hat-trick seeker Ron O scored in smooth style over C&D last time and he’s feared most, ahead of another last-time-out winner in Ring Of Gold. Bushfire went close in a similar race here two weeks ago and he’s respected off an unchanged mark, while others who could be dangerous are Chief’s Will and Masqool.

Plenty have possibilities but it might be worth siding with GREY BELLE, who made a bold bid over C&D two weeks ago and is only 1lb higher than for that near miss. Falesia Beach was well backed when a close second at Kempton last time and she’s feared most, ahead of Min Till who has form figures of 1123 in her last four runs at this trip. Others who could have a part to play are Pepsi Cat and Port Noir.
20:30 – Funky Town Pinkie
The vote goes to FUNKY TOWN PINKIE, who is on a roll after winning her last two starts and is open to more progress on this step back up in trip. Second choice is Bird For Life, who made it three wins from her last four starts when finishing well to score at Wolverhampton 12 days ago. Reset Button is respected after his close call over 1m6f at Chelmsford on Monday, while others who could make a serious impact are Raiff and King Charles.
