Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
NEW DEFINITION is a reliable performer over sprint trips, recording an RPR between 76 and 88 in each of his ten starts this year. Penalty to shoulder for a Kempton win in June though and has to prove he can be as effective over this new trip. Still more appealing than most.
ALTOBELLI is a Flat-bred 4yo who comfortably won soft-ground Exeter bumper on debut in February, form that has been very well advertised by the runner-up since. Makes hurdling debut after ten-month absence but still needs to be taken very seriously.
FARNE is a dual hurdle winner who seemed to get the hang of chasing at the third attempt, going close in mares’ race at Warwick in February. Returns from ten-month absence in a stronger contest but the drop back in trip won’t be a problem.
AMOURIE was demoted after finishing first past the post over C&D last month, but gained compensation back here 13 days ago. Up another 4lb but a major player.
