Having only the fourth race of his life when going close against Jonbon at Aintree, subsequent Punchestown scorer EL FABIOLO should make a high-class novice chaser. He is tipped to score at the first attempt but could be given a stern test by last season’s County Hurdle third Colonel Mustard who has a chase run under his belt. Highland Charge should make a useful novice chaser.
Although yet to show worthwhile form over fences Priory Park is potentially interesting on his handicap chase debut. Big Debates should go well again following a Cork win off 5lb lower. But a slight preference is for CLONBURY BRIDGE who ran well over a longer trip at Naas and is a former hurdles winner at this distance.
A very interesting novice event, very much added to by the presence on his chasing debut of good novice hurdler Ha D’Or. Hallowed Star could go close if coming back well from his fall last time, but the one to be on could well be MARVEL DE CERISY after an impressive display at Punchestown with the promise of more to come.
John McConnell’s French import Jackpot De Choisel was an expensive purchase and is potentially very interesting. However, the hurdling experience gained by fellow French recruit JAZZY MATTY (nap) may prove crucial. He has the beating of stablemate By Your Side on Navan running. Eighty Eight is one who could take to hurdling well.
A premier handicap winner on the Flat, SIRJACK THOMAS is quite lightly raced over hurdles and may be able to exploit a modest rating. At the other end of the handicap, Look Dont Touch gives local trainer Dermot McLoughlin a strong chance. Others to consider are Balllybawn Belter and Peace Party.

Having been beaten only 10l by a subsequent impressive Grade 3 winner at Naas last time, MALTON GROOVE should have improved from that return and can get off the mark. Klarc Kent, Potters Party and Kilbree Warrior can give him most to do.
If SPEED GANG can repeat his Tramore run over fences last time coming back to hurdles, he can get off the mark. Champ Royal and Alfieri are dangers, while Arctic Ambition will be very difficult to stop if he gets a run.
Just denied on her Limerick debut when running green, POLLY’S FORTUNE can show the benefit of that experience to go one better today. The well-bred newcomers Quinta and Marie Philippe could prove to be her principal dangers.
