17:00 – Gilded Moon

With a major lack of solid achievement among their opposition, attention naturally focuses on the dual nursery winner Mirabello Bay and last week’s clearcut winner Attrazione, but with the former having been seriously outclassed in a higher grade at Kempton on Monday. There was also, however, a bit of promise last time out from GILDED MOON for this longer trip.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

17:30 – Fine Balance

The market will doubtless tell a tale with FINE BALANCE, down from an extended 7f for her new yard back from seven months off, but if she’s to have any future she ought to be winning this. Mimoset is preferred to Em Jay Kay for the forecast spot.

18:00 – Cailin Saoirse (NAP)

A 7lb rise demands more from CAILIN SAOIRSE (NAP) but she’s weighted to confirm placings with subsequent winner River Chorus and looks up to completing a C&D hat-trick. Laoch Gach La has shown enough without seeing out the extended 1m here the past twice to rate the main danger, while Pessoa is worth keeping an eye on among the likely bigger prices.

18:30 – Brave Display

Phil McEntee has done the job with similar types to BRAVE DISPLAY many times down the years and, with Kevin Stott, who’s 4-10 for the yard, up again off the back of last week’s solid Southwell third, he’s preferred to Divine Connection who’s consistent but struggles to win. Frankelio, who is used to running in better races and can go well fresh, and Atrafan, who’s done all his winning in the winter, are two more to consider.

19:00 – Peachey Carnehan

A number of those likely to be towards the head of the market are regressive maidens and this is far from easy to sort out. Robyn Brisland has a live chance by the way of Black Box, but it may be best to stick with one of the few proven winners in the field, namely PEACHEY CARNEHAN who hasn’t had much luck of late.

19:30 – Laheg

Not much pace in here, Muscika and Watermelon Sugar being the obvious exceptions, along with possibly Bezzas Lad, while Intervention is adaptable. Last year’s winner Ballyare showed more last time but often blows the start and is best coming from off a strong pace, so the vote goes to the lightly raced LAHEG in the hope he’s more amenable having been gelded.

20:00 –Spanish Angel

A few of the likelier suspects tend to come from off the gallop and this is hardly overloaded with pace for a 5f handicap. Munificent and the wide-drawn Hit Mac are quite capable if things pan out their way but both have been inclined to pull hard lately and preference is for SPANISH ANGEL, who’s in off the same mark as when short-headed over C&D last Tuesday.

20:30 – Alwajd

Slight preference is for ALWAJD, a 3yo whose career is moving in the right direction, ahead of Cappoquin who was comprehensive in her win first time out for a new stable. However, most of them were serious players last time and could easily be the same today, while others could also conceivably have a say. It’s competitive.
