Lingfield 13.15 – Mick’s Spirit

A wide-open sprint that gets us underway at Lingfield (if they pass an early morning inspection) and Mick’s Spirit is versatile in his run style. He can take a lead or race prominently and getting Sean Levey in the saddle is a big bonus. The Conrad Allen team are in very good form at the moment and the course form of Mick’s Spirit is rock solid.

Lingfield 13:50 – Twilight Mischief (each-way)

Paddy’s offering us 4 places if they all turn up and that could allow us an each-way play on Twilight Mischief. Admittedly hasn’t shown a lot in her three runs to date but has dropped to a mark of 48 now and needs to start showing something quickly or she’d heading for the trap door.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Chelmsford 14.05 – Lake Sand

Did incredibly well to finish fourth last time when pushed wide initially and was then forced to sit back at the half-way stage. His finishing effort deserves a decent upgrade and Lake Sand is not badly handicapped on his best form. Both of his wins have been at this venue. The likely pacesetter Bombastic is drawn down on the inside in stall eight, so Lake Sand should get a perfect tow into the contest.

Lingfield 14.25 – Ship to Shore (each-way)

The four-year-old could represents a decent bit of each way value as Vision of Hope and Ummsuquaim will both take the lion’s share of the market. Ship To Shore was in the process of running a decent race at Southwell last time when slightly hampered and also ran a touch green in the latter stages. He is a low-mileage improver and can get a slice of the action at a decent price.

Chelmsford 14.40 – Lord Paramount

He will be the cornerstone of many an accumulator on the card. Lord Paramount is going to be very short in the market, but remains on a mark of just 70 after an easy success last time at Wolverhampton.

Lingfield 15.00 – Sweet Fantasy

Ralph Beckett’s runner looked like she won with a massive amount in hand at Southwell last time. She was still rolling around and looking raw in the closing stages. Admittedly this 1m 2f trip may be a little short of her best, but that gives her the option of pushing forward to make her stamina count. The race is decidedly lacking in pace so Sweet Fantasy can set her own fractions if needs be. She looks the one to have the most improvement in her in this line-up.

Chelmsford 15.15 – Shamshon

The 11-year-old still retains all his enthusiasm as he proved recently around this venue when running well under this 5lb claimer Luke Cotton. Shamshon is a multiple winner and has been found a decent opportunity to show some of the youngsters that he still has the ability. Delegate the Lady could be worth a bob each-way if she’s tuned up and ready to go for a stable in form. Watch the market.

Lingfield 15.33 – Forest of Dean

The 2021 Winter Derby winner looked in need of his recent return and faces four of his opponents again now. Algiers is going to be a very warm order in the market but there’s no natural pacesetter in this contest. The Gosden team have another in the race and it would make sense for Forest Of Dean to pop along in front over this 1m 2f trip and he might just get it  all his own way.
