Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
BLAZEON FIVE was suited by the step up to 2m at Kempton on last two starts and no mistaking her superiority when drawing clear from main rivals, who both won next time, in October. Up a further 5lb but is progressive. Unraced on Tapeta but dam handled the surface. Big chance.
ALEXANDER JOHN was a good third in a pair of soft and heavy ground autumn Curragh maidens and carried that form through when a creditable third in a 7f maiden here last month. Drop back in trip likely to suit and sets a reasonable standard.
HAKU came good at the ninth attempt when readily seeing off 11 rivals over C&D 18 days ago. Up 5lb but his rider’s 7lb claim is a bonus in an apprentice race. Should go well.
HIGHLAND QUEEN took a backward step last time but has fewer convictions than most and holds claims at this lower level on her previous Newcastle third. One of the more interesting contenders.
