Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) at Chelmsford today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

Chelmsford-all-weather-under-lights

17:30 Chelmsford – Tagabawa (The Brigadier)

TAGABAWA is half-brother to winners Manobo and Turgenev. Bred to be smart and he made an impressive debut when justifying favouritism at Wolverhampton last month. Sets a useful standard under a penalty and he should be hard to beat in his bid to make it 2-2.

18:00 Chelmsford – Kilcummin (West Tip)

KILCUMMIN ran green after missing the break at Lingfield last month but he made some promising late headway to finish fifth of 12. Needs good deal better but he looks a likely improver upped in trip on his second start.

19:00 Chelmsford – Tarbaan (Moorestyle)

TARBAAN won twice in the first half of this year and he got back on the scoresheeet when landing a C&D handicap two weeks ago. Finished well to beat a well-backed favourite in that race and a 4lb rise for that success looks fair. Leading contender.

20:00 Chelmsford – Excel Power (Andrew Bladen)

EXCEL POWER has won eight of his 20 starts and made it 5-11 on AW when landing a similar race over 1m here last Thursday. Has a penalty but he raised his form to a new level with that clear-cut success last week and this drop back to 7f should be fine. Big player again.
