17:30 – Tagabawa

Another Dimension has shown promise in both his runs and has each-way claims if he can take another step forward, while there are several well-bred newcomers who need a close look in the market including Regal Empire, Baileys Khelstar and the Crisfords’ Wigmore Street. However, it is hard to get away from Godolphin’s well-related colt TAGABAWA– Cavern Club, who made an impressive start at Wolverhampton last month and sets a useful standard under a penalty.

18:00 – Cavern Club

Plenty have possibilities in this open race. Silver Sword just about sets the standard on his second over this trip at Lingfield last month, while David Simcock has two interesting contenders in the returning Super Mo and the well-bred newcomer Pfingstberg. Inny Lad and Andrew Balding’s debutant Green Machine also enter the reckoning but the vote goes to CAVERN CLUB, who has been placed in all of his three runs this autumn and was strong at the finish when a clear third at Wolverhampton last time.

18:30 – Mighty River

The two who stand out from the rest are the nursery newcomers Kingsley Pride and MIGHTY RIVER. The former went very close in a C&D novice last month and he’s strongly respected, but the vote goes to Mighty River, who made it third time lucky with his win at Wolverhampton 12 days ago and is open to more progress.

19:00 – Tarbaan

Gloucestershire made a bold bid when a close fourth over 1m4f at Kempton last time and he’s respected on his drop back in trip but the one who appeals most is Amy Murphy’s TARBAAN. This 3yo raised his form to a new level when beating an unexposed favourite over C&D two weeks ago with a strong finish.

19:30 – Mountain Road

Preference is for David Simcock’s progressive hat-trick seeker MOUNTAIN ROAD, who has form figures of 2211 since switched to staying handicaps and completed a course double when forging clear over C&D last month. The Johnstons’ Pons Aelius kicked on again with his 2m win at Kempton last week and he’s the main danger, although Spit Spot was a good second behind the selection here last time and she’s still unexposed at this trip.

20:00 – Excel Power

Revolutionise got back in the groove when landing a gamble in good style at Wolverhampton last month and this 6yo remains feasibly treated. Preference, though, is for EXCEL POWER, who hit a personal best with his clearcut win here last week and may well be able to defy a penalty back in trip to make it 6-12 on AW. Third choice is Fiduciary, who has had only two runs for her current yard and was strong at the finish when third over 6f last time.

20:30 – Wadacre Grace

Top of the list is the Johnston-trained WADACRE GRACE (nap), who has found more progress over 1m in her last two runs, including a close call off the same mark at Southwell last week. The main threat could come from six-time Polytrack winner Brains, who is on a dangerous mark and didn’t get much luck when favourite at Wolverhampton last time. The other one on the shortlist is Deep Sigh, who had a near-miss over C&D on her penultimate run.
