13:40 – Dabirann
14:15 – Ghumama
14:45 –  Coolcalmncollected
15:15 – King of Scotia
15:45 – Kudbegood
16:15 – Ta Na La
16:45 – Banned
17:15 – St Cianans Fire

13:40 – Dabirann

DABIRANN didn’t show a great deal on his debut in a seven-furlong maiden here early last month but he offered more encouragement when finishing fourth back over the same course and distance three weeks ago. Dabirann left the impression that he would appreciate this step up to a mile and he ought to give a good account. He gets the vote over newcomer Luigi Antinori who makes some appeal on paper and represents the powerful Joseph O’Brien yard.

14:15 – Ghumama

GHUMAMA posted a creditable effort when fifth in a handicap over this course and distance early last month and she ran to a similar level to finish third in a mile-and-a-quarter handicap back here a couple of weeks later. The form she showed on those occasions provide her with strong claims at this lesser level and this looks like a nice opportunity for her to return to winning ways (she won a mile-and-a-quarter handicap here in August).

14:45 –  Coolcalmncollected

COOLCALMNCOLLECTED showed improved form to get off the mark over course and distance a couple of weeks ago, staying on strongly to collar the reopposing Not Too Real Bad close home and score by half a length. That was Coolcalmncollected’s first start on the all-weather and he remains open to improvement on this surface, so he shades the vote over his old rival who should also go well.

15:15 – King of Scotia

KING OF SCOTIA wasn’t able to make a telling impact when tried in Group 3 company at Leopardstown in October but he sets a good standard based on his two previous runner-up efforts. King of Scotia, who has been gelded since last seen, travels strongly through his races and gives the impression that a drop in trip would suit, but he has still shown a level of form over this seven-furlong trip that marks him down as the one to beat.

15:45 – Kudbegood

KUDBEGOOD cashed in on a falling mark to score over course and distance last month, registering his third success over this track and trip (he’s not won anywhere else). He’s clearly effective under these conditions, is back in decent form and is still well treated on some of last year’s efforts, so he looks the one to side with. Ellabella has a wide draw to overcome but she is another who goes well at this venue and arrives in decent form, so she appeals as a danger.

16:15 – Ta Na La

TA NA LA matched the pick of her turf form when third on her Polytrack debut over the extended mile and a quarter here last month and she arguably raised here game a notch when placed over the same course and distance a couple of weeks ago. She has clearly taken well to this surface and could have a bit more to offer on the all-weather, while the way she travels suggests that the drop back to a mile won’t be an inconvenience.

16:45 – Banned

BANNED made an encouraging start for this yard when runner-up in a mile-and-a-half maiden here last week, proving unlucky to bump into an above-average newcomer but faring best of the rest. That represented a big step back in the right direction for Banned, who had been disappointing on her final start for Hughie Morrison in August, and it offers a platform she can build on. She sets a good standard based on the pick of her form for Morrison.

17:15 – St Cianans Fire

ST CIANANS FIRE is in fine form and made it three wins from his last four starts when scoring over course and distance last month. He’d also won over course and distance on his penultimate start so is clearly effective under these conditions, while it’s worth noting he has won on all three occasions that Conor Hoban has been in the saddle. He’s gone up 6 lb since his latest success but that should not prevent a bold bid.
