17:00 – Excesso Velocidad
Excesso Velocidad did us a favour last time so I’ll stay loyal to her as she drops back to 5f which shouldn’t be any inconvenience. There should still be plenty of improvement to come as she’s lightly-raced. Catherine Of Sienna was also a last time out winner and dropping back to the minimum distance won’t hinder her either. She got 10lbs for that win which is a little excessive so I’ll side with Excesso Velocidad.
17:30 – Sound Of The Night
A 7f maiden where Joseph O’Brien saddles three debutants – although two have run in barrier trials. A market watch is advisable on them. Luke Comer’s Sound Of The Night put in a huge run on debut and the yard is in good form. If she takes another step forward, she could be hard to beat.
FANCY A CHANCE TO WIN £/€75K?
18:00 – Bold Ribb
Another 7f maiden where Bold Ribb heads the ratings on a mark of 79 and that could be good enough to win this. He drifted left last time and got caught on the line. With a good draw in stall two should be hard to beat. Show Her the Money has stepped forward in her last two runs and could be a danger, although he might be better in handicap company in time if not able to win a maiden.
18:30 – Havana Pearl
An apprentice handicap where Havana Pearl – who was fourth last week – can get her head in front. She should come on for that first run in months and tops the ratings here on 63 under Joey Sheridan. Over this 7f trip she can reverse the form with Malaysian, who got up on the line in last week’s 1m contest. Delta Romeo and Line Ring have both been in good form recently, but Havana Pearl has a major chance.
19:00 – Circles
The second division of the Apprentice Handicap sees Adrian McGuinness’s Leclerc try to back up last Friday’s win here under a 6lb penalty. Numoor and Jazzy Dancer were third and fifth respectively but I can’t see either reversing the form. Circles catches my eye and has been running well on the polytrack all winter. She didn’t seem to see out the 1m trip last week when fading in the final half furlong to finish fourth. The drop in trip to 7f and the application of blinkers can help, as should a decent draw in stall eight.

19:30 – Rough Diamond
The 6f sprint is the race of the night with Hodd’s Girl in great form since joining Adrian McGuinness. However, Rough Diamond has shown his adaptability to the polytrack. Despite going up 7lbs for his last win here, he makes just his third start at Dundalk and is open to more improvement.
20:00 – Samrogue
A 47-75 handicap where Inishmot Prince looks to back up last week’s win. Top weight Gobi Star comes in on the back of a win also while Hernes Hill returns to action after a break and there could be races to be won with him in the future. Collective Power steps up to 6f after being beaten over 5f last time and has an ideal draw in stall one. The one I’ve gone for though is Samrogue who had to be virtually pulled-up last time when on a hat-trick of wins as the saddle slipped. You can put a line through that run as she’s ultra consistent and should get a nice tow into this contest as Little Queenie usually blazes a trail in front.

20:30 – Princess Wannabe
A 1m 4f handicap closes the card where a couple of recent winners line up again. Getaway Queen has very good course form and won two starts back and likes the trip. The Lion Strikes has been running consistently but Fozzy Stack’s Princess Wannabe stayed on really well last time to finish fourth and will appreciate the step up in trip now. She’s well bred (daughter of Galileo) and connections must be hoping she can get her head in front off a base rating of 50 in the finale.
