Loads of dead wood here in a race in which only three appear to count. Eye Van holds the best form credentials, albeit over further, but lacks a recent run. Hurdling debutant Sir Argus also lacks a recent run but his bumper form is of a very similar level to SANTONITO, who has a possible fitness edge and now has cheekpieces fitted.

12:35 – Conna Cottage

A very weak maiden hurdle. CONNA COTTAGE has fared creditably in two runs in much stronger maidens and probably won’t get a better opportunity in maiden company. Coco Lightning and Johnny Clarke appear the most likely dangers.

13:10 – Doyen Ta Win

Several of these are making their handicap debuts and, as such, are open to improvement, so the market could be informative. However, DOYEN TA WIN could take this stepping down in trip, having raced keenly when looking sure to score at Wexford over 2m4f last time. Bluebell Diva didn’t look straightforward last time but could run well again.

13:45 – Ronald Pump

A tough one to call with a mix of returning chasers and some hurdlers with seemingly plenty to find on ratings. RONALD PUMP is one of the elder statesmen here and has to bounce back from a disappointing Kerry National run but has conditions to suit and has since changed yards. Both Diol Ker and Eklat De Rire are also returning to hurdles after disappointing efforts over fences but rate the main dangers.

14:15 – Son Of Tully

It could be worth siding with SON OF TULLY to improve enough from his encouraging Fairyhouse return to get off the mark today. Hard Target can run well if handling this ground, while the frustrating Fox Le Bel, Battleground and Globetrottersivola are others that can be involved.

14:45 – Womalko

Despite being beaten at odds-on over further here last time, WOMALKO (nap) still looks well-treated off 3lb higher and can make amends, with this shorter trip likely to suit. The in-form Happy Dreams could give him most to do.

Several with strong credentials but BANNTOWN GIRL might be able to improve enough from her Wexford chasing debut to overturn that form with The Folkes Tiara. Six Feet Apart is capable of going close, while Henn See (best fresh) is a dangerous rival.
